As a long time fan of the game series, I&#39;ve found the adaptation well made.<br/><br/>The characters are mostly true to their origins, and are likable. The animation is fluid, but a bit empty of emotion - the overall tone is great, the Gothic horror permeates the gory imagery.<br/><br/>The plot is solid, but a bit slow, and the ending of season 1 left me unsatisfied - hopefully season 2 will fill this void.<br/><br/>I&#39;ve missed the theme music from the game.<br/><br/>I&#39;ve found it a bit immature for my liking with the constant nuts kicking - I&#39;ve been hoping for a darker, more serious, more emotionally exhausting Vampire Hunter D approach.<br/><br/>While I&#39;m not in awe of the show, I will certainly watch season 2. I have never heard about this video game before. But the series was so pretty good. I didn&#39;t expect no less no more for these guys, cast is brilliant. Armitage&#39;s voice is all the money and seriously i believe i felt in love with Trevor. Brave, vengeful, great fight skills and so gentleman, mysterious and handsome. Also,i liked the dirty language-i was laughing all the time- i loved the gory scenes cause it reminds Kill Bill splash scenes and Japanese anime.
